CYBERSECURITY TRAINING

Picture1
The DCR Foundation and DCTC are proud to announce this free program for DCR Members.  This is similar to training provided for phlebotomy and multicultural leadership training.
With only 18 seats available, if your company has interest, let me know right away so we can get you on the initial list.
The Dakota County Regional Chamber, in partnership with Dakota County Technical College, is offering a Cybersecurity Certification Training program that gives learners a direct pathway into one of the fastest growing and most resilient career fields. Beginning in January 2027, this 70-hour hybrid program blends virtual flexibility with the value of in-person instruction, making it accessible for working professionals.
The DCR Chamber has received a grant from the state of Minnesota, to cover the full cost of training for Chamber members and their employees, removing a big barrier to entering or enhancing skills in the Cybersecurity field.
Participants don’t just sit through lectures—they gain hands-on experience with real security tools, threat scenarios, and practical labs that mirror the challenges cybersecurity teams face every day. The curriculum is aligned with industry-recognized CISCO certification, meaning every hour spent in the program directly supports your ability to pass a credential that employers trust. For IT professionals, this is a chance to validate skills and move into higher-value roles. For employers, it’s a cost-free way to strengthen internal security capabilities.
Throughout the course, learners build a strong foundation in cybersecurity fundamentals, network and system security, threat detection, mitigation strategies, and best practices used across industries. By the end, participants are not only prepared for certification—they’re equipped with practical, job-ready skills that make them competitive in a field where talent is urgently needed.
With the program starting this winter, now is the ideal moment to secure your spot (there are only 18 available!) and take advantage of a fully funded opportunity to build a stable, future-proof career.
