Multicultural Leadership Training

In collaboration with Dakota County Technical College (DCTC) in Rosemount, the Dakota County Regional (DCR) Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce a new grant from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED).  This grant provides full financial support for DCR Chamber member businesses and organizations interested in accessing coursework in multicultural supervision over the next 14 months.

Participants can enroll in any of the 17 courses (up to 17 credit hours) offered, leading to a full certificate from DCTC.  These courses cover a range of topics including:

  1. Multicultural mentoring
  2. Managing diversity in international businesses
  3. Leading a multicultural workforce, and
  4. Multicultural conflict resolution.

Both in-person and online course options are available for your convenience.

Navigating today's diverse work environment is crucial for managerial success in leading and retaining employees, as well as attracting new talent.  Developing a multicultural leadership perspective can elevate your organization's competitive edge.

Dr. Harold Torrence, the expert behind the multicultural supervision certificate at DCTC, leads our instruction.  Students from various sectors, including private, public and nonprofit organizations, have completed certificate programs at DCTC, with 225 students having benefited from taking the multicultural mentoring courses.
