Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave
Article is an introduction to the Minnesota Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML), which applies to all employers in Minnesota, regardless of size. There is some time before this new law goes into effect on January 1, 2026. Employees and employers will contribute to a state fund that will support the program, which will be administered by a new Family and Medical Benefit Insurance Division.
