Certificate of Origin

A Certificate of Origin (often abbreviated to C/O or COO) is a document used in international trade. It is a printed form, completed by the exporter or its agent and certified by an issuing body, attesting that the goods in a particular export shipment have been wholly produced, manufactured or processed in a particular country. The certificate of origin must be signed by the exporter, and, for many countries, also validated by a Chamber of Commerce. Dakota County Chamber of Commerce validates certificates for Chamber members. Please contact us at 651.452.9872 to make an appointment. For clarifications on whether you need a certificate or other exporting assistance contact U. S. Commercial Service Minnesota at 612.348.1638 or email office.minneapolis@trade.gov
